If you like fireworks but think they’re not dangerous enough, you might want to consider “hitting molten metal with a shovel.”

There have been people getting horribly injured by fireworks for about as long as we’ve had them. This is mainly due to human stupidity, but it can partially be chalked up to the nature of fireworks themselves. I mean, it’s a thing that shoots fire and goes “boom” — people are gonna get hurt.

I’m honestly not sure about the safety levels of doing fireworks like this instead, but it certainly doesn’t feel that safe. It does, however, look cool, and at the end of the day, isn’t that all that matters?
