Cruise Ship Tilts, and Everything Goes Sliding
Yet another reason to not take a cruise ship.
For some, cruise ships are a reasonably-priced way to see several destinations over a fixed period of time. For others, they’re poorly-maintained cesspools of bacteria, bad food and people who shouldn’t have access to an unlimited bar tab.
I fall into the latter camp, not only because the only cruise I ever took ended with someone getting randomly stabbed, but because the experience of being adrift with nothing but reheated pizza, frat bros and near-death Floridians wasn’t my ideal for a vacation.
Recently, another incident affirmed my decision to never step foot on one of these things again. Earlier this week, Royal Caribbean's “Explorer of the Seas” ship got hit by a particularly strong gust of wind, causing the whole vessel to dramatically cant.
