13 Things That Are Normal to Women But Mind Blowing to Men
Though men may be stereotypically labeled as the strongest and most heroic gender — serving as the subject of ancient epics, war sagas and whatever the hell the Dune franchise is — women are pretty badass, including in ways that men can’t always see.
Femininity, while oversimplified as bows, frilly dresses and high heels, is a whole lot less sparkly than may meet the eye. Beyond the classic examples of enduring periods and having to have an arsenal of (legal) weapons in order to walk home alone at night, pockets — or lack thereof — has proven to be one of the biggest annoyances women face on a day-to-day basis.
“The disappointment when you find a pair of pants that fit perfectly, but realize the pockets are fake. WHY????” wrote u/a77ywumpus while u/Eyelikeyourname called for some well-deserved revenge. “
“Whoever invented fake pockets needs to find his socks wet and pillow warm for a lifetime,” they demanded.
But it’s not just pants that make womanhood so complex. From casually walking around while bleeding, to having safety phone calls and yes, even pockets, here are 15 things that are normal to women that are absolutely mind-blowing to our male counterparts.

2. Dealing With Annoying Men
“I had a woman co-worker planning some business travel for herself and she was deliberately avoiding layover stops that were past a certain length. I asked her why and she said that if she had to eat at the airport alone in a business outfit, she would be guaranteed to be propositioned even if she kept her head down in her book or laptop. A lot of married men too looking for a quick airport fling. Blew me away as I had never even thought that would be a thing.” u/Mysterious_Lesions -

7. Always Being Asked If You’re Pregnant
“Constantly being asked if you're pregnant before every little bit of medical care (often multiple times in one visit, if you're in the hospital, just to be safe). And before getting a treatment that's definitely unsafe during pregnancy (like an x-ray or a medication) even your 'no' answer isn't good enough. I haven't had a uterus for 21 years. Doesn't matter, I'm still getting a pregnancy test because patients lie.” — u/candimccann -

9. Doing Hair
“The amount of time it takes to do hair. Don’t get me wrong, it looks amazing when done, but the process of a woman getting her hair ready to go out is mind blowing to me . Washing, drying, styling etc I’m sure I’ve completely butchered process but I love the finished product and don’t mind waiting” — u/JD054 -
