After getting banned from a popular NYC restaurant, James Corden issued an apology to the Balthazar owner but fans weren't buying it as sincere. They felt he was only sorry he was caught being rude and are demanding he apologizes to the staff he berated instead of the owner.
In June, Corden allegedly found a hair in his wife's meal and said, "Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far." He then threatened to leave a negative Yelp review.
More recently, after returning to Balthazar for brunch, Corden's wife ordered an egg yolk omelette and he blew up on the server when there was a small bit of egg white left in the dish saying, "You can't do your job! You can't do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!"
Keith McNalley, the owner of Balthazar, posted about the incident on his Instagram, also pointing out the incident in June.
"James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago," McNalley said.
Corden quickly called the restaurant and apologized to McNalley and only hours later the owner lifted Corden's ban.
"Anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat lay about like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Balthazar....all is Forgiven," McNalley posted in a follow-up on his Instagram.
However, people were surprised at how quickly this situation was turned around and upset that just because Corden apologized to the owner didn't make up for how he treated the servers of the restaurant.
Considering the way James Corden treated people in the Broadway house I managed years ago, I’m actually surprised he hasn’t been banned from more than Balthazar’s.

Most were pointing out that he only apologized "profusely" after many news outlets picked up the story, saying he wanted to save face and it had nothing to do with the treatment of the people working at the restaurant.
Corden has said nothing about the incident since his apology to the owner.
